In 2024-25, Mukul Madhav Foundation along with FICCI/FLO, Bangalore Chapter sponsored a CSR project for empowerment of women. The initiative entailed training 70 women from the under-served community in “Beautician” skill and enable them to earn livelihood to augment their family income. The project was implemented in a town called H-Cross, Shidlaghatta Taluk of Chikkaballapur district. Some of the newly implemented features of this project was set-up of a salon-like infrastructure to give a real-life experience for the trainees. A beautician domain expert hand-held the trainees throughout the training and also conducted the assessment at the end of the training. Many of the trained beneficiaries are either working in salons or providing beautician services from their home. A couple of them have opened their own salons and few others will also do so in the days to come. Thanks to MMF and FICCI/FLO!
