In the serene landscapes spanning across multiple rural districts of Karnataka and extending into the urban pockets of cities, “Samarpaka” took on a commendable mission. This initiative sought to offer complimentary classes in subjects such as Math, Science, Social Science, and English to underprivileged students.
Diligently, our team labored on, reaching out to schools, compiling essential documentation, and imparting comprehensive training to devoted educators. The collective effort aimed at ensuring the triumph of the program was not limited to just one picturesque village but resonated across diverse rural areas and urban communities within Karnataka.
Baseline Survey Unveils Potential

We at Samarpaka conducted a comprehensive baseline survey, wanting to understand the academic landscape at the program’s inception. The survey became a canvas, painting a vivid picture of the students’ potential and the challenges they faced. This marked the official commencement of the coaching sessions in Science, Math’s, Social Science and English. Simultaneously, we at Samarpaka introduced an element that transcended traditional academics. Weekends became a canvas for holistic development as personality development and career guidance sessions took center stage. The goal was not just academic excellence but the nurturing of well-rounded individuals, ready to face the world beyond textbooks.

The dedication to continuous evaluation became the cornerstone of the initiative. As the final exam results unfolded, a collective sigh of relief and joy swept through the village
The numbers told a remarkable tale of triumph over adversity. An 23% improvement in the performance of students in the focused subjects stood as a testament to the effectiveness of Samarpaka. Astonishingly, more than half of the students, 63%, secured first class, and 21% achieved distinction. Samarpaka wasn’t just a coaching program; it became a symbol of resilience and hope for these disadvantaged students, proving that with the right support, dreams could indeed be achieved against all odds.

This inspiring tale unfolded with a spotlight on gender disparities. Samarpaka’s detailed evaluation revealed a consistent pattern—girls outperformed boys throughout the project duration. In the 2022-23 academic year, 28% of students who scored A+ were primarily girls, showcasing not only their academic prowess but also the untapped potential within them.
